Dii Award for Jordan Gehman's "Circumference"
Monday, March 10, 2008

Jordan Gehman, a San Diego State University (SDSU) furniture design student, was presented a Design Innovation Institute $250 cash award for his three-dimensional assemblage titled "Circumference." Jordan's piece was one of 22 selected by a faculty jury. His innovative re-use of materials (wooden yardsticks), lamination and bent wood technique was a whimsical tribute to its large metal C-clamp base.

Purchase awards were also presented by SDSU's President Stephen Weber and his wife Susan, Provost Nancy Marlin, Dean Joyce Gattas, and other organizations and individuals. This is an annual student award exhibition at SDSU.
